Where and when did your PR career begin?
After graduating with a degree in journalism from the School of Communication at Western Michigan University, I dived right into the news side of the business. For the past five years, I worked as an Assignment Editor at New England Cable News. During that time, I covered stories like the Boston Marathon bombing, the arrest of Boston Patriot Aaron Hernandez, the death of Osama Bin Laden and the arrest of Whitey Bulger. This experience taught me the ins and outs of the news business. Now, I am taking those lessons and applying them to public relations. I look forward to working with positive stories and seeing my husband on a normal schedule.
Where can you be found when you are not working?
When I am not working, you can usually find me hanging out with my husband. On the weekends, we enjoy rummaging through antique stores to find cool and unique items for our home in Salem, hiking and entertaining friends. In the past year, I developed a love for cooking and have become quite adventurous in trying new dishes. In the fall/winter, you can find me watching football on Sunday afternoons and never missing a hockey game. Since I grew up in Michigan I have to stay true to my team, Go Red Wings!
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 3 things, what would they be?
1. My husband
2. My Kindle
3. TV (I still have to be able to keep up on all my shows!)
