Senior Account Executive

CGPR, based in Marblehead, is an integrated communications agency focused on consumer, active lifestyle, outdoor and travel public relations.  As our client roster continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior  Account Executive to help direct agency accounts, collaborate with account teams and support overall agency direction.

Day to day responsibilities of an SAE at CGPR include:  

  • Generate creative ideas/pitches to drive client PR campaigns;  proactively derive ideas and recommendations on how to  leverage industry news and trends.
  • Pursue and secure media opportunities (trade, consumer, business media, etc.) for clients; build and nurture media relationships.
  • Draft creative, topical and newsworthy pitches, news releases, blogs and case studies.
  • Mentor junior-level staff and provide guidance to account teams, as needed.
  • Support new business outreach and related initiatives.

Other requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience in public relations, media, communications or digital marketing.
  • 4-6 years of post-collegiate PR agency or corporate PR experience .
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines at once.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Dependable, flexible and charismatic.

Account Executive

We are also seeking an Account Executive with a minimum of 3 years PR experience, to support apparel, fashion, lifestyle, gear and component brands.

Account Team Experience:You have experience participating as an active and respected member of account teams.
Writer: Whether pitches, news releases, reports or social media content, your writing is creative and on point. 
Press Professional: Building relationships and working with the press is second-nature to you. 
Analytical Thinker:PR is a tool to generate growth and you have a keen understanding of how PR delivers ROI. 
Researcher:Like a journalist, you recognize the value of understanding the big picture and delight at delving deep to understand industries, competitors, and opportunities.

PAID INTERNS Winter/Spring 2020

CGPR is looking for full-time paid (stipend) public relations interns for Winter/Spring 2020.  The internship period would begin  January 2020 through mid-May 2020. Students must be pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field. Our interns become active members of our account teams participating in client calls, strategy sessions, media relations, research and event planning.
